I really like the character building trait program. I also really like that there is always someone to great the kids in the morning. Mr. Smith is always on the drop off side with Mrs. Stuart and the kids really enjoy that,(and the parents appreciate it).

Teachers, other school staff, administration, parents and the community work together to provide a safe atmosphere in which children learn and grow. The character education program is outstanding and an effort is made to help every child achieve success.

My son has had three outstanding teachers at this school. The administration does alot to encourage parent involvement. We are very happy with the school.

I agree that the Elementary School has some of the best teachers within the whole school district. My child did very well in elementary and enjoyed it. Now he has moved up and is struggling and doesn't have the help from teachers like he did in Elementary.

I am glad to have found this site! I think the teachers at Forsyth go out of their way to love and educate our kids. Mrs. Collins has always been excellent with the kids. I love that she knows every child by name and speaks to them in the mornings to welcome them to a new day. The only thing I wish we had more of was sports for the younger. The new 'watchdog' program is great for kids and getting dads involved. I haven't ever been turned away when talking with a teacher about a problem or not. I think they work for the kids and my kids and I are proud to be Panthers!

I think Forsyth is a wonderful school, both of my children have gone to Forsyth Elementary and I can tell you that the improvment over the last three years is unbelivable. Mrs. Collins has made remarkable improvments since becoming Principal.

Both of my children have attended Forsyth and I work there as a teacher. I know that we can't meet all of the needs of every child and parent, but I know for a fact that our staff goes above and beyond to try to help or reach each family. We have experienced a large amount of growth in our area and of course are experiencing growing pains to go along with that growth. I appreciate all of the positive parents and patrons that support us. My children and the children that I talk to enjoy school and are happy to be there. I apologize to those who have had unhappy experiences. I like working at Forsyth and enjoy the comradship and concern that we show each other and our families.

Forsyth Elementary is a wonderful school! The teachers are top of the line and really care about the students. Every one of them that I have had the pleasure to deal with, including the principal, go out of their way to encourage the kids and help them in any way they can. This area consists of many many low income households. These teachers extend their personal lives to go the extra mile not only for the kids but for those families as well

After reading the other reviews, i decided to leave one myself. My son is in the first grade. I found out today that the students are not allowed to speak at lunch--not a word. I was wondering why my son was always missing his recesses because of his behavior at lunch. When he told me that he was talking at lunch, i called to find out if this was policy. I found out that this is the school's policy. Wow! they can not say a word at lunch because (i quote)'if they are talking they are not eating.' This is from the principal mrs. Collins. Not to mention the way she talks down to people. I wonder how she talks to the students. I am transfering out of this school. This is just the last straw. It is sad that the schools leader is bringing this school down.

'Our children are our future' Treat them with respect and you shall receive respect in return. I have seen too much personal conflict and popularity issues among the staff. Give me a break! The staff is often unable to deal with children as individuals. Often, if the kids aren't fitting ino their programs, then it's recognized as a problem rather than an opportunity to do thier jobs. Our kids are with you for 8 hrs. a day, they shouldn't be coming home 4-5 days a week with 2-hrs. of homework. Do your jobs. Treat and educate these kids as if they were your own. This school also needs more outside area for the kids to play and run. More physical activities. Also part of their teachings should be how to deal with every day life in our current society. Thank goodness for Mrs. Lesley, Mrs. Padgett and Mr. Baker. They're wonderful.

Although I think we could use a more courteous principal I think so far the school itself and the teachers I have so far come across have been very sweet. i think the principal shows favor not only to students but also to parents as well and I do not feel like she handles troublesome students very well nor do I feel like she listens to parents concerns. My kids grades have improved, throughout this whole area. They have been to 3 schools in this county and I think Forsyth is the best. My daughters speech has improved 10 times better Forsyth is definetaly the best!
