Forsyth High School4

Forsyth, MO | Taney County

Forsyth High Schhool has now gone to all computers with no books at all. Parents are now required to pay yearly fees for their children to have the required laptops and if something breaks, Parents must shell out more money, a total of $500 if it needs to be replaced entirely. They cover repairs that they deem to be caused by everyday ware and tare, but that doesn't seem to be very much. If your child has to go without a laptop for a few days while it's being repaired they simply must suffer without it, which means they may not be able to complete their homework on time and be penalized. Internet at home is also essential if your child wants to pass their classes, so low income families are forced into buying something that isn't a necessity because the school has made it one. There is a McDonalds in town where kids can use internet, but then that also costs gas. It's also the main hang out for kids after school, so it's not a very good place to try to concentrate on homework. They've provided next to no resources to parents, making it very difficult to help your child at home. I believe they've taken a very lazy approach to their teaching methods and I am not happy about it.

I am a graduate of Forsyth High School and feel that I didnt have any problem with the teachers. Granted there probably isn't any of my teachers left, but it's not all the teachers fault. First you have to look at the fact that they are not as large as some neighboring schools such as Branson therefore they do not get the funding like the much larger schools. Which is why it seems like the teacher dont care. They care but they dont have the funding they need to do all the things they would like to teach your child. And for the parent who bought a house in the branson school district I hate to tell you but Branson sucked when I went there. Shipping freshman and some sophomores to the JR high for their classes. What kind of education did those kids get spending time on a bus being shipped from the High school north of town to the jr high wich was near down town?

I moved to Forsyth from Ozark. A huge change on my part, but for the best. Ozark was overwhelmingly big and Forsythe was small and perfect size. The teachers are amazing and help explain things to you easier than any school,.,there food may not be as good as some but it still suffices.

We moved to Forsyth, MO from 2500 miles away. My son spent one year in Forsyth schools with no help from the teachers what so ever. My son was outgoing in sports and in the social sceen, recieving good grades from a high performance school in the North West. When arriving to Forsyth, we were not greated by friendly staff. I had the feeling of no moral amongst the falcilty. The students were rude, and disrespectfully to any peer. My son spent one year in Forsyth (one year to long), before we bought a home in the Branson School District, were his attitude is back to normal, he is outgoing again, and he shares common interst. If I had not made the move for my son, he would had failed out of High school, and no one would had cared in the Forsyth School System. Please do your child a favor!

I went to Forsyth, and though it did not offer all of the college prep classes that most schools offer the teachers are willing to help and all of the students are accepting and respectable.

I go to forsyth and I love it. I moved around a lot and this is the only school I really enjoyed. The kids are awesome and the teachers are so helpful. If anyone would want to go to a small town school, this would be the one they should choose. Forsyth is my home and I am so lucky to be going here!

I transferred to FHS as a sophomore and the learning stopped there. I did little of nothing and made A's and B's. The teachers are awful!with a few exceptions) The students run the show. Kids always in the hallways (during class time) and administrators get no respect. The athletic program (for the girls) is a joke! I spent the 1st two years of college trying to catch up to my peers. They were ready for college, I was not. Every school will have success stories but at FHS that is the exception not the rule. I have my Master's degree but it is not because I went to Forsyth. Good luck to any parents sending their kids to this school.

I attended Forsyth High School and since then have gone on to Law School. My achievements would never have been possible without the encouragement I received from the great teaching staff at Forsyth.

Forsyth has such high standards that may seem unreachable at first, but the teachers are always so willing to help you it's not a problem at all. Their ahead of the other schools in education by a ton and want the kids to succeed. The kids ,the actually students, are mostly nonjudgemental they take you for who you are and accept it. Theres not really a bully problem or anything like that we all just kinda get along. The extracurricular activites are somewhat slim but theres still a lot of stuff. Theres book club, FBLA, FCCLA, math club, FCA, and the sports thats some of what we have. Theres something for everyone.

Forsyth High School has a reputation for producing highly educated and successful students. The kids are extremely motivated and the teachers are A+. Forsyth has a great community, whom are involved with school activities. I strongly recommend this school!

I do not attend Forsyth, but the reputation at my town is bad. Forstyh is known for bad sportmanship, and nobody wished to play them. I would not recomend this school to anyone.
